"Sato Elementary failed to be inclusive or support my child. He was asked to attend this school as it had an EGC program that was intended to support him socially, emotionally and behaviorally. His teacher did a good Job with him, but the principal set a negative tone at the school. She was not supportive of the IA’s that worked with the EGC students, nor the parents. In our first experience We went 5 months without curriculum available for the children and not a single book or math manipulative for the children to learn with. They finally shut down the k-2 program for the remainder of the year and we went to a different school. However, we were asked to return the following school year with an amazing teacher. Unfortunately, the principle seemed annoyed by my continued offer of support, and was rude to me and others. In fact, it was so bad that she told me my son couldn’t walk through the building, he was asked to walk around. My son Hated coming to school. It was awful. I can not speak to the general Ed programs, as we did not have that experience, but the Sato EGC failed our child."
