"The teachers at this school are strong, passionate, and caring but are often hindered by an administration that is overly focused on test scores. Students who perform well are pushed hard to continue to grow. Students who lag behind are moved into afterschool tutoring or are unable to participate in reward parties simply because learning is not always easy. Our child has had a positive experience and has made friends while growing academically. Teachers are asked to work long hours and take on class sizes above the normal - 25 to 27 kids per class is fairly typical. If your child thrives on competition and is fairly independent, they will do fine. For those that need extra attention or do not like to be competitive, there will be things about this school that will be frustrating."
