"Despite some of the negative rumors regarding Duval High, I am pleased with my son's progress and morale. The teachers are very responsive and dedicated, if you and your child are serious about getting an education the teachers will make sure your child gets the instruction he/she needs. I think the teachers can get overwhelmed by the class size in the beginning but once you meet with them and communicate with them regularly it seems that the issues seem to go away. That's just my experience. I believe that the curriculum could be a bit more challenging but I can't blame that on Duval that fault belongs to the school system. 9th grade parent - 2011/2012 school year"
