"Ridgely Middle coddles students to a shameful degree. As an official school policy, the students are allowed to re-do 90 of assignments. I don't understand in the least how this is a beneficial policy, as it certainly isn't how most high schools and colleges operate, in addition to, oh, REAL LIFE. The bottom line is that the school doesn't have faith that kids can rise to the challenge, so it doesn't even TRY to make them stretch intellectually. It's easier for tired teachers to slap A's on everything and not worry about student and parent complaints. Principal Seth Barish sends his own middle school-age children to a private school. If that doesn't say something, I don't know what does."
