New Haven
Abacoa sets the standard for master-planned developments in southeast Florida. Today it has 20 distinct neighborhoods, but New Haven was one of the first to break ground.
Inside this community awaits 405 single-family homes and 100 townhomes constructed between 1998 and 2001. The homes are tucked along streets shaded by oak canopies and magnolias on beautifully landscaped lots. Home footprints average 3,200 sq ft, and they often have outside patios or decks.
Homeowners have two clubhouses with swimming pools heated in the winter months. The clubhouses have playgrounds for the local children. New Haven does have an HOA that manages these amenities and oversees community covenants.
Since it’s part of the Abacoa area, naturally, New Haven residents have a great location for all the lifestyle essentials: restaurants, shops, stores, schools, and more. Across Frederick Small Rd is a Sprouts Farmers Market for healthy produce, while restaurants and medical offices are along Military Trail. Some students on the southern end may be able to walk to the nearby middle school, Beacon Cove Intermediate.
Valencia
Valencia’s reputation as one of Palm Beach County’s most affluent neighborhoods hints at the opulent homes and lifestyle waiting within. Another Abacoa development, it has just 135 homes ranging from 2,700 sq ft to 7,000 sq ft.
The architecture style is distinctly Mediterranean and Tuscan, which is popular in this part of Florida. Expect to see columns, arches, balconies, patios, and private swimming pools. Custom touches make this neighborhood truly unique. Most homes were built during 2002-2005. A few have lakefront views.
Centered in the neighborhood is a single clubhouse equipped with a fitness room and outdoor green recreational spaces. The facilities do have a swimming pool and playground for the local kids.
It’s beside the Central Blvd and Frederick Small Rd intersection in central Abacoa, enabling residents to conveniently access the Roger Dean Stadium and surrounding fields, the Sprouts grocery store, and medical offices. The Lighthouse Elementary School and Jupiter Middle School of Technology border the neighborhood on the northeast, making rigorous education easily accessible.
Valencia had eight homes for sale in July 2023 at a median price of $2 million.
Jupiter Country Club
Want that iconic Florida golf lifestyle with fairway views for days? Spread across almost 500 acres of land, Jupiter Country Club has seven unique villages featuring 405 single-family residences and 151 carriage-style condos. These homes are strategically positioned around the exquisite 18-hole Greg Norman Signature golf course.
The exceptional homes were built by Toll Brothers, a trusted name in custom and luxury residential construction. The architectural inspiration was Southern Italian, so you’ll find ornate details, courtyards, and eye-catching entrances. The single-family homes start around 2,000 sq ft and expand to 5,700 sq ft. The condominiums are 2,000-3,000 sq ft and include golf course views.
Find the Country Club included on the Platinum Clubs of America’s top country clubs list, hinting at the high standards and exceptional amenities. Members gain access to an exquisitely designed resort-style clubhouse where attention to detail is evident in its decor choices. The available facilities include two resort-style pools, a 12,000 sq ft fitness center, and recreation courts for bocce, basketball, and pickleball. Enjoy sumptuous on-site fine and casual dining for lunch and dinner. And it’s family-friendly, with junior golf programs, a zero-entry pool, and a playground with a soft landing pad installed around it.
In the residential section, the greenery expands from the fairways to the nature preserves that dot the landscape. These include around 14 ponds and small lakes that add to the scenic and tropical ambiance.
Looking outside the neighborhood, Jupiter Country Club is beside the Florida Turnpike, I-95, and Indiantown Road for easy commuter access to the greater Jupiter area. The community is also beside Riverbend Park, and some residences may have that as their backyard view. And the Loxahatchee River Nature Area is just a short drive west on Indiantown Rd, with a canoe and kayak launch just around the corner from the country club villages.
Jupiter Country Club homes had a median list price of $2.4 million, with 20 listings in July 2023.
Olympus
Perhaps you’d rather be closer to those promised iconic beaches of southeast Florida. In that case, check out Olympus, a neighborhood tucked between the famous A1A and Route 1. This beachside community delivers big on the coastal lifestyle.
Olympus’ 117 single-family homes were primarily built between 1980-1995, but some newer construction options are present. That construction timeline means you’ll find many homes are on comparatively oversized lots when you consider living close to the waterfront and how houses are packed together nowadays. The homes tend to range from 2,000-3,000 sq ft, and their styles reflect the tastes of their original builders. That means no cookie-cutter designs here. If you’d prefer a more maintenance-free lifestyle, don’t fret. Condominiums are available right along A1A that give you prime oceanfront access.
Not only is Olympus beachfront–it’s right next to Jupiter Beach–but the neighborhood has a lake right in the middle for even more waterfront options! Across Route 1 is the Jupiter Ridge Natural Ridge, a pristine wetland preserve with trails and kayak access.
Olympus had three listings in July 2023 ranging from $2.4-$2.8 million.
Pine Gardens South and North
Pine Gardens North and South are sister communities separated by Indiantown Rd near the heart of Jupiter. The A1A borders their east side, so an advantage of this neighborhood is its accessibility to the commercial centers. Walk, bike, or drive to Publix at the corner of the intersection or stores like Ross and Dunkin’ Donuts. Sidewalks encourage neighbors to get out and walk around.
Both Pines Garden North and South have single-family homes primarily built in the 1970s-1980s, with sizes ranging from 1,400-3,600 sq ft on average. However, you might stumble upon some gems from as early as the 1920s. As its name implies, tall pine trees rise above the homes, although there are fewer than when the neighborhood was built. Still, you’ll find tropical landscaping and palm trees.
The attraction here is the affordable stand-alone homes with spacious backyards. Compared to its sister community of Pine Gardens South, homes in Pine Gardens North tend to be slightly larger, with common ranch-style configurations of 3 bedrooms/2 baths and 3 bedrooms/1 baths, respectively. And both lack HOA fees.
Pine Gardens South had two listings from $450-$485K, while Pine Gardens North listings ran $355-$554k in July 2023.
