Learn More about Preston Guyton

Preston Guyton has worked in the real estate sector for more than 15 years. He felt the need to do something different to help more people after the exhausting years of the early 2000s, which were also experienced by some in the real estate market.

CRG Companies, Inc. was founded after these difficult circumstances in 2010. Preston intended to launch a business that specialized in designing and constructing properties that adhered to higher standards, as well as rely on cutting-edge green technology. As a result, it swiftly surpassed sales of over $100 million. It also immediately rose to prominence as a leading construction firm of custom homes and real estate services.

With over a decade of experience in the real estate industry, Preston witnessed the number of time agents and consumers dedicated to finding homes; hence, he decided to simplify the home buying process and reduce the stress involved. In 2020, he launched ezHomeSearch.com, a website that will allow people to search for houses in the NC and SC areas without any hassle. In 2022 Preston joined Josh and Nick in a more involved role with Palms Realty as the Chief Visionary Officer.

Building a Team

If you want to be a successful entrepreneur then you need to wear a lot of hats, but one of the biggest roles you need to fill in is that of leader. You need to be able to lead others, inspire them to achieve great things, and help them grow in business and as individuals. In order to do this, you need a solid foundation in communication skills, problem-solving, and coaching.

But it’s not enough just being good at those things—you also have to be good at listening and delivering on the vision for your company. Most startups fail because they can’t deliver on their promises or aren’t able to sell enough products before running out of cash—but it doesn’t have to be this way! If you’re building a team with the same values as yourself (i.e., building something meaningful), then chances are good that there will be lots of shared vision between everyone involved in making decisions.

However, if someone working under you doesn’t share these values then they might not feel like they’re part of something bigger than themselves. They won’t work towards making sure things get done correctly which might cause problems down the road, especially when deadlines approach quickly without enough time left over.

So, when you’re building a team, look for people that have the same values and mission as you. Then make sure your values are clearly communicated and translated into the most important traits a person working at your place of business may have. Your team is more likely to be successful if they feel like they’re working towards something meaningful. It’s always important that everyone shares the objective of putting in the extra effort required to see the company succeed.

Leadership can make or break a business

Leadership is one of the most important aspects of any business. If you can’t lead, you won’t be able to create a successful team or organization. In fact, the best leaders are able to lead people through difficult situations and have them continue working towards a common goal.

It’s not enough just knowing how to lead a team—you also need experience in actually doing so. This means that if you’re going into this position without any prior experience leading others on projects (or even just leading yourself), then it might be worth it for you to take some time off before starting up your own company so that when things get tough later on down the line, there’s someone else who can step up into their role as leader instead of simply quitting because they weren’t prepared beforehand.

Additionally, when hiring leaders, it’s important to look for those who can be better than you at certain skills. This can be in terms of experience, skill set, or just overall quality. If the person you’re looking at is bad at their job, they will only bring down your company. They’ll also have a negative effect on your other employees and cause them to become complacent with their own performance levels. Ultimately, you want people around you who can help you improve your company. That goes for any position in the company, but it’s especially relevant when hiring, and it applies to both hiring managers and to new employees.

Health and Family: The Secret Weapons

If you want to keep your business healthy, make sure that you stay on top of any health concerns that may arise from time to time. You need to keep your body in shape so that it can handle the workload of running a successful company. Health is an essential part of business, because if you don’t have good health, then your mind won’t be able to focus on the task at hand.

Moreover, If you’ve been in business for any length of time, you know that it’s not always easy to balance your family life with the stresses and demands of running a company. The first thing you can do when starting a business is to make sure that your family always comes first. Family is what makes people better entrepreneurs, better at what they do for clients, and happier people overall. As long as you have each other to share in all your successes and failures, everything else falls into place.

If you put family and health first, your business will thrive. It’s impossible to deny that family is where it all starts for most entrepreneurs. You want to provide a better life for them and you want to help them build the future they want. If you start and finish each day with one eye on your goals and the other on maintaining a healthy lifestyle and healthy relationship with your family, then there is no limit to what you can accomplish.

Lessons from a decade of business

It is easy to feel discouraged when your business is not quickly growing. It can seem like there’s no way that you’ll ever compete with the giants of the industry, and you’re in a race against time to grow your business before more giant businesses come into the market. But one of the most powerful insights from this podcast is that you may be missing out on the opportunities to grow if you spend too much time worrying about things beyond your control. Whether your business grows quickly or slowly, it’s important to stay focused on the future and make decisions today that are going to help move your business forward.

Preston Guyton has embodied the notion of hard work and perseverance in building his company from the ground up. It’s not an easy feat, but it’s one that anyone can achieve, with the right tips, tricks, and strategies. By applying the methodologies that Preston discusses in this episode, you will be able to manage a growing startup much easier and have a stable foundation from which your business can grow.
