Even though it’s small, Highland Beach still has some amenities, like a library, water service, and police department.

One thing to be aware of is the sea turtle nesting season from May 1st through October 31st. This is a popular place for endangered and threatened turtles to lay their eggs. Highland Beach takes its nesting area very seriously.
