Best School Districts in North Carolina

These school districts have consistently shown high performance by testing and other indicators. However, they’re by no means the only high-performing school districts in the state. And, just because a district didn’t make the cut doesn’t mean its individual schools lack for quality education. For example, Gaston County had the state’s best high school in 2023, the Highland School of Technology. This school regularly scores top marks.
